Red Flint Sand

from $7.99

Red Flint sand substrate is naturally occurring in the rivers and streams in nature. This enables familiar environments where sand is needed with your fish species that are not accustom to fast moving rivers that might include larger stones. Sand also closes the space between the particles more-so limiting the debris buildup that inevitably leads to breaking down organics over time which increases nitrates and phosphate and can lower water quality. When debris is on top of the substrate its easy to remove and less time in cleaning.

Red Flint Aquarium Substrate Product line and our Filtration Sands & Gravels have been key material components in large aquariums and zoo’s in North America and Globally. Our unique physical properties including very low acid solubility and naturally clean particles create the perfect solution to your substrate and filtration needs.

Red Flint - The Very Best in Aquarium Substrate - Performing Above and Beyond for over 100 years: Naturally Clean - P 200 <1%

So clean it will save you time — most competing brands and substitutes big box store pool sand will be lower quality sand requiring you substantial wash cycles prior to use Washed and graded to the same high standards as the potable water industry Naturally cleaned as an alluvial deposit then washed again by our manufacturing processes.

Industry Leading low acid solubility <1% Means its inert, will eliminate or minimize imparting ph changes, hardness or other unwanted effects to your water Highly uniform particles sizes <1.3 Uniformity Means voids between particles are optimized for minimizing movement of unused food, waste and organics to the bottom of the tank.

Sub-angular shape Smooth edges protect fish and serve to ensure better entrapment of waste, unused food, and fish waste to the bottom of the tank.

Completely Natural. 100% natural. Environmentally-friendly. Non-toxic. No artificial coatings. Same great look.
